GJ Kinaskan GJ is a copper-gold porphyry system with a 43-101 compliant measured and indicated resource, at a cut-off of 0.20% copper, is 153.3 million tonnes grading 0.321% copper and 0.369 g/t gold and contains 1.09 billion pounds of copper and 1.82 million ounces of gold. An additional inferred resource, at a cut-off of 0.20% copper, is 23 million tonnes grading 0.26% copper and 0.31 g/t gold and contains 132 million pounds of copper and 0.23 million ounces of gold. 43-101 Technical Report The GJ copper-gold porphyry project is located within the 20,000 ha Kinaskan Lake Property in north-western British Columbia, Canada about 10 kilometres west of Highway 37. The Company has a 100% interest in the property. In August 2010 the Company entered into an Option Agreement with Teck Resources Limited whereby Teck is granted options to earn up to a 75% interest in the Company's 100% owned GJ copper-gold property. Since 1970, 187 diamond holes totalling 48,843 metres have been drilled at GJ; the vast majority since 2004. In the Donnelly Zone, drill holes have encountered strong disseminated and vein-hosted chalcopyrite-pyrite mineralization, yielding intercepts as long as 256.0 metres grading 0.406% Cu, 0.503 gpt Au and 2.7 gpt Ag. The zone extends over a distance of 1600 metres in an east-west direction and is up to 300 metres wide with a down dip extent of at least 500 metres. The zone includes a higher-grade copper-gold section near surface along the northern margin of the deposit. Kinaskan Geology
The property is located on the southern end of the Klastline Plateau in the Stikine River region of north-western British Columbia. The rocks underlying the property have been mapped as Upper Triassic, Stuhini Group (basic volcanic flows, volcaniclastics and sedimentary rocks), unconformably overlain by Lower Jurassic, Hazelton Group andesitic to felsic flows and volcaniclastic rocks. Intruding the sequence throughout the property are numerous small, quartz deficient plugs, sills and dykes of Late Triassic or Early Jurassic age, of diorite to monzodiorite and monzonite composition. The largest of these is the south-west striking Groat Stock which is at least 10 kms long and up to 1.5 kms wide, and is off-set by numerous, north-south striking faults. Adjacent to the south-west extremities of the stock, porphyry copper-gold mineralization occurs in at least four areas; the Donnelly, North Donnelly, GJ and North zones. | |||||
