Lukas H. Lundin
Mr. Lundin is known for recognizing value and superior global investment opportunities in the natural resource sector. His uninhibited pursuit of highly prospective properties around the world has resulted in numerous resource discoveries, including the multi-million ounce Veladero gold discovery. Mr. Lundin has also led several companies through highly profitable business acquisitions and mergers such as Lundin Mining's $3.3 billion merger with EuroZinc Mining, the $2 billion sale of Tanganyika Oil Company Ltd. and most recently the $9.2 billion sale of Red Back Mining Inc. Mr. Lundin is a graduate of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. He currently sits on the Board of a number of publicly traded companies.
President and CEO
Dr. Wodzicki has worked in the international mining industry since 1987 and has managed exploration programs on five continents. He is a geologist by training and has a doctorate in Geosciences from the University of Arizona. He previously served as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Lundin Mining Corporation and President, CEO and Director of Sanu Resources Ltd. Prior to joining the Lundin Group Dr. Wodzicki was with Teck Cominco Ltd. in a variety of roles that included managing exploration offices in Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. He finished his career with Teck Cominco as General Manager of Exploration for North America and Europe-Africa.
Vice President Exploration
Mr. Carmichael joined NGEx from the UK office of Lundin Mining Corporation, where he was General Manager, Resource Exploration with oversight of all near-mine and resource definition exploration activities. Prior to joining Lundin Mining, Mr. Carmichael acted as Vice President, Exploration for EuroZinc Mining Corporation and held executive positions and directorships for several other Canadian exploration companies operating internationally. He has also been a director and first Vice President of the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia (AME BC) and sat on the technical committee for Geoscience BC.
Mr. Carmichael is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of British Columbia, holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia and has 23 years of experience in public company management and international mineral exploration.
Mr. George is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in operations, project management and construction. Mr. George commenced his career with De Beers in South Africa and Namibia. In 1993 Mr. George came to Canada and has held senior positions at the Iron Ore Company of Canada in Labrador; Aura Minerals, working on projects in South America; as a lead consultant working on many international projects with Rescan Engineering and MRDI (AMEC); and De Beers Canada where he was the mine general manager on the team that brought the Victor open pit diamond project through feasibility, engineering and construction. Most recently Mr George was Senior Vice President of Lucara Diamond Corp, where he was responsible for taking the Karowe Mine from feasibility study, though engineering and construction, to operations. Mr. George is also Vice President, Project Development of Lundin Gold Inc. another Lundin Group company.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. See joins the Company from Lucara Diamond Corp. ("Lucara"), where he served as Financial Controller since 2011. During his career he has held positions of increasing responsibility in a number of publicly traded companies, including three years at Western Coal Corp., where he served as Manager, Financial Reporting & Treasury at the time of its $3.3 billion acquisition by Walter Energy Ltd. in 2011. Prior to his involvement in the mining industry, Mr. See spent 3 years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers ("PwC") working with a diverse client base both in Canada and internationally. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
From April, 2005 until June 2011, Ms. Vodola was a Securities Paralegal with the law firm of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP and prior, a Securities Paralegal with the law firm of Morton & Company, and Mcorp Investment Group. Ms. Vodola also serves as Assistant Corporate Secretary of ShaMaran Petroleum Corp. and has previously acted as Corporate Secretary for several TSX Venture Exchange listed companies.
